Haunted House

The house is separated by distance from its nearest neighbors. The feeling of total isolation and of "being watched" can invoke itself upon anyone living here. Today, the house is vacant. Weeds and vegetation are weaving its delicate web that would in time envelope and totally obscure the house... Mother Nature will reclaim this piece of land once again. The feeling of "being watched" finally forced this family to suddenly abandon the house leaving behind furniture, appliance and personal belongings.
The "head of the household" stated that it didn't matter whether it was day or night, "I felt like I was being watched all the time." He thought nothing of it but he could not get it out of his mind. After they moved out of the place the feeling disappeared. Other family members reflected the same sentiment. They could never pinpoint the source of it nor could they even talk about it.
Years has passed. One of the sons speaks, "My brother and I were out late one night. We were tired and getting home was still a long way. We were close to our old house (now abandoned) and decided to stay there for the night. Sometime during the night, there were knocking and jerking on the front door, as if someone wanted to get in the house. My brother got up and opened the door... nobody is there. We thought it might be the wind but it was not windy. He closed the door and we went back to sleep. The knocking and jerking on the door started again.
My brother couldn't take it anymore, got up, opened the door, walked out and closed the door behind him. I thought he just wanted some air, calm himself and then come back inside. I rolled over and went back to sleep. I was suddenly awakened to the sound of knocking and jerking of the front door. I looked for my brother but he was not with me. I opened the door and again, no one was there... not my brother or the car. I would learn the next day that he got scared, took the car and left me behind. I was tired and finally got frustrated and I just blurted outloud, "Look, I am tired, I am stranded here so please leave me alone." Nothing happened after that."
The next day. Other brother says, "What happened last night was not the first time. One night I got drunk and didn't know if I could make it back home. I decided to spend the night at the old place. As soon as I laid down on the couch, a dog started barking outside. I knew of no neighbor's dogs having this kind of barking... and why would the dog be here. Annoyed, I got up and opened the door. No dog. I went outside and walked around but there was no dog. I went back inside, locked the door and laid down again. Something made me turn my head around...
There was this black dog in the house with me. I don't know where he came from. I moved to the other side of the room, found a broom and looked for the dog. I searched the whole house and the dog was gone. After a while, I went back to the couch and laid down. I was almost asleep when I felt like someone was in the house... watching me. I opened my eyes and this man dressed in black was standing in front of me." He said to me, "I have been here before this house was built. Get out." "He didn't have to tell me again... I was out of there as fast as I could move."
