OTHERPLANE

I would like to share with you something that happend to me last evening in my bedroom. I frequently suffer from insomnia and am a new mother of a seven month old. Last night around 1:10 a.m. I was laying awake thinking about things like we are in the middle of making a new car purchase, our finances etc. My point is that I was wide awake for sometime.

One odd thing I found was that my room was extremely cold. I got up several times to check the thermostat and had it set at 23degrees celcius. I live in Ottawa, Canada and it has been very cold but as I stepped out of my room, the rest of the house was very warm and comfortable, however, my bedroom was unbelievably cold. I checked the heater duct and it was functioning fine but I was very cold.

As I got back into bed and laid down, a sudden weight descended upon me almost as if something had jumped into my body. I then felt a very strong electric static feeling throughout my entire body, almost to the point of electrocution but with no pain. I was unable to move but I'm not sure if this was from intense fear or what. I then felt my head sink very heavily into my pillow as if something was pushing it into it.

I also could hear the fibers of the pillow moving inside and at one point, it felt as if someone was laying on the pillow beside me, as if suck down. I was fully awake. I'm sure of this. I continued to lay still so I may see someone or some other sign of a presence. Although terrified, I needed to know that I wasn't dreaming this. Within 30 seconds the heavy feeling and static electricity lifted from my body and the pillow beside me raised back up to a normal position. I got up and immediately checked my babys room to make sure he was fine. He was... so I returned to bed. I did not wake my husband, who was sleeping in the spare room, as he has a cold.

This is the first time anything like this has happened and I'm 100% sure this was not a dream as I was fully awake before it happened. I have had dreams before of ghosts etc. My mother has had enounters before. One... she said the "Grim Reaper" appeared at the end of her bed and signalled for her to come with him. She sat up and smoked a full cigarette and told hime she didn't want to go and please go away. He did. She has also had other incidents. I did not feel that this was someone who was angry just someone who passed through me for a brief moment.
