Ouija Board (The Mystifying Oracle)
by....Rhonda
Varying forms of the Ouija Board have been used since the days of the Ancient Egyptians. They used a pendulum device (a ring attached to a strand of thread) over a circular table that had various symbols on it, and the ring would maneuver over the table and spell or select answers from the options on the table.
In 1889 the modern day Ouija Board was marketed. William Fuld and his brother, Isaac began a small distribution operation in Baltimore, Maryland. It was the hottest item they would ever produce for the American public. Back then, the Ouija Board wasn't considered a game or an evil device, people used it to talk to their loved ones that had passed on. Most of whom were killed within the two World Wars during the same time. The success of these communications is where the popularity of the Ouija Board really soared and where it had earned its reputation of being more than just a game.
Around 1960, Parker Brothers approached the two Fuld's and offered to buy them out. Since they were having trouble meeting the public demand, they agreed and the rest is known history to us all.
Over the years, horror movies have been created depicting the Ouija Board as an "evil" device. This has given the Ouija Board an undeserved reputation as a link to the "dark side" as well as an invitation for the "dark side" to enter your home. When in actuality, it's simply a device that may be used to communicate with entities.
Dowsing Rods, hangers, Ouija boards, and other forms of devices have and continue to be used to communicate with someone/something, beyond our physical realm. We of (Otherplane) decided to investigate the Ouija board because of the way it is displayed with alphabets, digits, pictures and a Yes and No words for yes/no questions.
Are users of Ouija boards able to communicate with someone or something? Yes. If someone, who are they? Normally, you can find out who they are through communicating with them. Is it true that bad things can come from using the Ouija board? That depends on what you consider bad, an entity that knows you are trying to communicate with them, may try to show you they are near, by either turning lights off and on, making noise, moving something. This tends to frighten people and then the entity gets labeled, bad. Does a Ouija board really work? Yes, it does. Sometimes it will do nothing, because there isn't anything around to communicate with.
As with the devices that we (Otherplane) use to communicate with "our friends," a user of a Ouija board may communicate with an entity or several entities who become "their friends." A first time user will encounter an entity or entities purely by random chance. From then on, that entity or those entities will be connected to that user via the Ouija board whenever the Ouija board is used.
Once the connection of communication is established between the user and "their friends," questions may be asked, i.e., yes/no type, how many (numbers), what is the name of (spelling). When the question is asked, the board remains stationary while the hands of the user or users move in unison across the board surface, to form words or select digits or yes/no answers to the question. The entities' control the movement of the hands.
There are accounts of physical manipulations of objects by unknown forces when a Ouija board was used. The moving of objects tends to frighten the user or in most instances, several users who are using one Ouija board, at the same time. The movement of objects were not meant to frighten but merely to inform the user or users, of the entities' presence.
An entity or several entities, of the user, of a Ouija board may or may not be, releasable.
As with all entity communication, the questions asked (and thoughts while asking) must be very clear, the ability to focus is important. If you are treating it like a game, most likely so will the entities. Remember, entities were once human also, and just because they have died and left their physical shell here, does not mean they know all, nor that you should take everything they say as the truth. Just like when you make a new friend, it takes time to build a relationship of trust and friendship.
