Out of Body Experience (OBE)

About seven years ago I had a memorable experience with astral travel. I had run across a book on the subject, read very little of it, decided to discount the part about being "of pure mind and body", and proceeded to practice leaving my body.

I started by imagining my bright yellow astral body floating on the ceiling just above me in bed every night before falling asleep. Of course I also saw the silver cord firmly attached between me and my body. This went on for many nights, weeks, until one night when I found myself outside of the bedroom, outside of the house....FLYING...just above the tree tops outside our bedroom windows, over our yard. It was beautiful! The light was different, it was very dark, but lit up in a glowing way. I was not afraid at all, I was just outside the house....flying....so naturally....so free....so happy.

I do not recall returning to my body, but when I woke in the morning I remembered the joyous feeling of flying over the tree tops, and shared my wonder with all who would listen.
