ASTRAL TRAVEL
by....Kim
I would like to share some tips on astral travel with you, that I read in an article in the "Psychic Reader." By Richard Webster, author of "Astral Travel for Beginners":
The message I teach involves progressive relaxation. Lie down somewhere comfortable where you will be undisturbed. The room needs to be reasonably warm, and your clothing should be loose. Your arms and legs should be uncrossed. It is a good idea to temporarily disconnect the phone.
Focus on your breathing and gradually relax your entire body. Some people prefer to start with the feet and work their way up, others prefer the opposite.
Once you feel you are completely relaxed, think about your purpose in taking an astral trip. Repeat over and over in your mind that you are going to leave your physical body and astral travel. Pay attention to any response your body makes as you say this to yourself. If it remains relaxed, the chances are likely that you will astral travel. However, if your body tenses up, it is better to abandon the attempt for the time being. Make sure you have no unanswered fears about astral traveling before trying again.
If your body is still relaxed, will yourself to leave the physical body. This is not easy. You need to remain relaxed, but at the same time exert your will to encourage yourself to leave. I find it helpful to think about my need to astral travel and how it will enhance my life to do so.
Focus your attention on your forehead and will your conscious mind to leave your body at that point. People vary on their responses at this point. Some feel a sinking feeling, a tremor, or a floating sensation. Few feel as if they are being tickled all over.
If you are fortunate, this will happen on your very first attempt. Do not be concerned if you do not leave your body. Many people find it hard to simply go with the flow when their body starts to sink or vibrate. It is natural to involuntarily pull back and fail to leave the body. If this happens, try again and again until you are able to simply go with the feeling and leave your body. It is a skill worth persevering with.
It is best to stay close to home when you first leave your body. In fact, I encourage people to stay inside the room they are in, and simply experiment by visualizing themselves in one corner of the room, then another, until they have become used to the sensation.
You can move further afield on your second astral travel. You will have more confidence in your skills by then and will be keen to visit different places. It is a good idea to visit places that you can check out later on. For example, if you visit a friend's house and see her kissing her daughter goodnight, you will be able to confirm that this was exactly what happened later on.
There are many benefits to astral travel, but the one that is most important to me is that it shows that death is not the end. When you astral travel you will realize that death is simply the ultimate astral travel.
I know that you can astral travel, but I also know that it will take practice. Don't try to force yourself out of your body. Simply relax, and allow it to happen."
