There are instances when you are alone (at home) and usually involved in some activity. Suddenly, you smell some type of odor and you look around you for the source of that odor. The odor seems to be isolated near and around you but when you move away from your location, the odor is not present. You move back to where you were and the odor is present. You repeat the process (moving away and back again), and you come to a conclusion... there must be the presence of something or someone.

Often, the odor is of a sweet fragrance (flower or perfume). This would suggest that this someone is a relative. Another type of sweet odor is the smell of candy. This would suggest a child. Then, there are the kinds of odors that are not really sickly or foul smelling nor a sweet fragrance. This could represent any number of possibilities. Usually, this odor belongs to someone who in passing, makes a brief visit and then departs. The odor does not last very long... usually a few seconds but no more than a minute.

Odors are meant to make the individual aware of a presence... not to scare. Being able to smell unusual types of odors (mentioned above), does not require a special kind of talent or paranormal gift. When an entity wants to make their presence known, they will employ various techniques... smell, visual, move objects and sometimes physical contact or a combination of.

The presence of odors are rare... even in a haunted environment.
