We mention that entities cannot inhabit a living being. However, an entity is able to manipulate or use a living being, for their own purpose. An essence is of a living being (normally called the spirit or soul). An entity has no such essence but they do have the ability to project their presence (invisible or physical).
Anyone may become a target for acting as a medium (a intermediary device / source) for an entity. The targeted individual, however, must possess a similar "wavelength" to that of the entity (entities possess similar wavelengths to humans because they were once human - this does not include the other Kingdoms of species).
When an individual is targeted by an entity, the individual usually goes into a state of trance. The body's heart-rate and pulse slows down and the individual is then ready to accept mental thoughts (telepathy) from the entity. The entity's use of mental telepathy to the individual (medium) causes the individual to mirror/repeat these thoughts, through the use of the individual's own vocal chords/voice. In this manner, the entity is able to maintain communication with whomever is on the receiving end, asking the questions.
Most individuals (mediums) have no idea of what is taking place nor do they remember what had taken place. However, there are some exceptions to the norm.
