The secret has been out for a while now, concerning the military's, Area 51. Aliens have been visiting our planet since its beginning. Occassionally, a Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) crashes. When a UFO crashes and the military is able to get to the crash-site, all traces and evidence are removed. However, the military are not the "only" one who is doing the removing.
There are other alien races, present. They too, will remove all traces and evidences of the crash.
Since Area 51's exposure to the public, there are only remnants of what is left of alien bodies or their crafts. There are no "living aliens" in captivity. What is left of the spacecraft has been moved to other (13) similar sites like Area 51, but they are not necessarily military. Current technology and materials are not available to repair and restore a UFO to be fully functional.
