On reading about entities not going directly to Heaven I was saddened. I was aware that some become earthbound but I thought that this was by choice more than anything else. As a Roman Catholic, I have been taught since I was a child that if I live in the way of the Lord I would gain access to Nirvana. It seems sad that some entities must roam this earth. What purposes are they fulfilling? They seem to be in Purgatory, stuck between two worlds. Does prayer help them to pass on? Is there a way where us mere mortals can help "release" them? Is there a place where malignant spirits go? Does Hell exist? Maybe I have asked too many philosphical questions!

Your questions are valid and as a Roman Catholic myself, I was taught these things (Hell, Purgatory and Heaven). However, I believe that there is a slight change to this...

      - Hell is where we living mortals are at present. We experience and endure all the bad and good things throughout our life cycle (however long that may be). We believe that we have a purpose in life and a destiny to fulfill. Most of us do not know exactly what that purpose is but as we grow older, wiser and closer to the end of our physical existence, we kind of suspect what our true purpose is and whether we have or have not accomplished that purpose (destiny). If we have not...

      - Purgatory is where we go after death. We get another chance to fulfill our purpose or wait out our time until some unseen time clock tolls... and moves us on to the final destination (where all eventually end up). Example: If a person's purpose in life was to murder someone but that person was killed in a car accident before he/she could commit the murder..... This is where you hear and read stories of haunted houses and living persons being inhabited by ghosts/entities. Some accounts go as far as to say that a person was forced to commit murder not by their own will, but by inhabitation of some unknown and meanful ghost/entity. There are also the good accounts that one seldom hears or reads about. Once a purpose has been accomplished...

      - Heaven where we all get to meet our maker (as the term goes). Here, we get to also meet our victim(s), if that was the case (of our purpose while living). There are no conflicts or hatred here... for there is a universal understanding that, "There is good and there is also bad - in the realm of the physical living. And one may be a victim or a villain." Entities are not "land-locked" but free to move between dimensions (to the land of the living), to visit and sometimes provide guidance (guardian angels).

We may have numerous purposes throughout our living lives and accomplish most of them, but we may never know what our true purpose is/was.

You surprised me with... "Is there a way where us mere mortals can help "release" them?" It is commonly believed that a clergy-person or as in other cultures, a shaman or holy man... is relegated and able to accomplish that task. However, we (of Otherplane), also believe that there are others who possess the same kind of ability/gift to do the same. As in the case of the clergy-person, shaman, holy man and others (who have the ability/gift)... Is this one of their purpose(s) in their cycle of the living?
