No past life per se... meaning, you could have died during birth but was revived; you could have died in an accident but was revived; etc.. Aside from that, no past life.
We all have a soulmate(s) somewhere. A soulmate is a person who is a perfect match for you and you for the soulmate. However, there can be more than one soulmate for you, but the laws of government dictates that a person can be "married" to only one person (at a time)... to be legally accepted. Society dictates that a person should only have a personal relationship with one other person (at a time)... to be socially accepted. Consider this... you are always undergoing changes in behavior, attitude, lifestyle, etc., the soulmate for you now may not be the same person for you in the future... unless you are willing to understand your soulmate and to compromise with your soulmate (for they too will undergo similar changes). If compromise and understanding is not possible, than "a parting of ways" is evident... thus, a new search for a soulmate to match your present condition takes place. This may be a never-ending process (searching for a soulmate).
