My partner experiences a weird phenomenon and I wanted to try and see if there was more information on this. When he walks or even drives under street lights they go out. I have witnessed this happen and it is quite strange.
Also, and I don't know if this would have anything to do with it but one day an old man came up to him and told him that he was once a very important person. I'm not sure if he was referring to his previous life or not but it was quite a strange comment from a stranger. He (my partner) is an acceptional man but the funny thing about all this is... he doesn't believe in anything out of the ordinary (angels, ghosts or even god). I'm totally the oppostite of course.
Can you help with this at all or point me in the right direction? I appeciate your assistance.

Your partner's experience, although unusual, is not unique. There are others out there who share that same experience. We have received numerous emails of such. By this, we are talking about the street lights going out and complete strangers telling someone that they were of a previous life. Such phenomena's occur all the time... some will talk about it while others will not (for fear of being labeled).
Your partner's belief or nonbeliever in such things is not important nor to be concerned about. Each of our individual destiny has been ordained for us before were born. However, as we progress through life, we learn, we grow and we adapt to how we should proceed on our own individual paths. Have you ever heard of the saying... "I could have or should have been a... (whatever)." If that was your destiny, you would be. A person murder's another person (for whatever reason)... if that was that person's destiny, then he/she has fulfilled their destiny (without any prior knowledge of what they were going to do - murder).
Skeptics will say that it is pure coincidence and that certain events and conditions played a part. Again we repeat what we said earlier... "As we progress through life, we learn, we grow and we adapt to how we should proceed on our own individual paths." Good can become bad and bad can become good.
As human beings, we are curious about all things and thirst for knowledge. The big question that is on our mind is... "Why are we here?" "What is our purpose?" We (Otherplane) can only say this... no one living really has the answer (right now). We are born, we exist and then we die... "Is that it?"
