I feel rather absurd writing this e-mail, but I would like to get an "expert" opinion on different occurrences that are taking place at my home (about 1 1/2 years old). From what I understand, the land my home was built on was simply farmland before the development moved in. Anyway, I have been experiencing strange things around my house, for example, my children's battery-powered toys will turn on by themselves & not shut off---- I have had to take the batteries out of 2 different toys. I also wake up in the mornings to find doors opened when I know I have shut them the night before.
I also have a photograph taken last month with an odd-shaped blur, which is also showing on the negative, making me rule out the chance of a developing error. I am a very common-sense person & have tried to rationalize why these things are happening. But it has only been recently that I've tied together all of these different occurrences & am maybe thinking that something is happening that I can't explain. I'm not sure if I should be afraid or maybe I'm just losing my mind.
Please let me know what your thoughts are. I would really appreciate it! I can forward a copy of my picture, if it helps.

You definitely have a curious entity the way you relate your encounters. Do you have a digital camera? The object here is to pinpoint some misleading information that's been circulating in our domain. What was the film speed of your camera? Some people claim that a faster film (ASA 800) can and will give you a higher probability of capturing your entity. Is there any other beyond the ordinary occurrences besides the toys and the door?
When you feel like there's another person in the room, then there probability is but you cannot see who it is. Just point the camera where you think something is there and shoot (if you have a flash, the better). Use the whole roll of film (if no digital camera) and make note of the date (of the film-taking).
Should you again receive the same feelings (like there's another person in the room), tactfully ask the entity to leave. Most of the time the entity will slow its occurrences or just stop altogether.
