I have lived in my new house now for just over a year. I have never had any problems with paranormal activity until recently, although I have, at times, gotten a strange feeling when I go to the kitchen at night for a glass of water.
About three months ago I started dating a gal and we have really hit it off. She spent the night with me last night (probably her fifth night here). She reported in the morning that she awoke at about 3 a.m. and never got back to sleep. She heard a man’s voice moan and some minor noises. Because I’ve not had much sleep lately, and because we got to bed after midnight, she decided not to wake me, but didn’t get much sleep because she was somewhat disturbed by what she had heard. No big deal we talked about it in the morning, and then I dismissed it as probably just the house creaking because of the furnace, or maybe it was the refrigerator compressor.
Tonight I got home around 9:20, and as soon as I walked into my house through the garage door, I heard an audible voice say something like, "Hi! Bill". I couldn’t believe my ears, and hadn’t even gotten two feet in the door! Nervous, I went right to my bedroom to get my gun and then toured the house, heading first to the kitchen where I had heard the 'voice'. No signs of foul play. Just a little spooked, I called my girlfriend and asked her to recount her experience of the night before. Without any cues from me, she described the exact same kind of voice I heard: male, gravelly, and non-threatening. Of course, the hairs on my neck stood up during our conversation as we both realized we had heard the same voice!
