We cannot dispute what your parents told you, but with your present knowledge on things... is that possible? The gift is not like an envelope that you just open to possess it. If you have something, you would have been aware of it a long time ago. Did you ever consider what that person did to your parents over 43 years ago? That person planted a seed of uncertainty and 43 years later... it is still a uncertainty.
