I spent a little bit of time (about 45 mins or so) poking around your neat site and found myself wondering at some of your reply's to folks' questions. The quoted reply below caught my interest in particular:
"Alot of people have similar accounts such as yours but for some reason, there's always something missing (ingredients of reincarnation)."
My question is what sort of "ingredients" do you look for? Besides a "light" being turned on at someone's Hi or Hello, I mean. I hope I don't sound disrespectful, because I have every respect for those with "gifts" I am trying my wings at channeling some of my own gifts and was hoping for some scholarly insights.

A majority of readers accounts of what they believe to be their reincarnation... is often a result of: deep-rooted past experiences; a lasting impression or memory of something they heard, read or seen; or residual images via dreams caused by other peoples experiences or experiences of what they themselves are going through. Often, they are not able to distinguish whether these feelings or dreams are an actual reincarnation or imagined.
As we read their accounts, yes, you could say that a "light" turns on or does not turn on. If the light turns on, then "our friend" is called upon to assist us in verifying the account. The individual is then given a reply... either "yes or no".
Scholarly insight is hardly worth anything when it pertains to the paranormal. If the scientific community, as a whole, cannot agree on whether the paranormal is valid or not, how can the academic community embrace the paranormal and provide scholarly insights. Often, paranormal related events occur with an individual without others being involved. Proving or disproving now becomes the issue. The technology has not yet arrived to provide adequate and viable verification on these occurrences. Not to take away anything from technology, except that it is slow in coming. However, some headway is being made in the scientific field... just not accurate enough to be accepted by the whole. So what makes us believe that we can do what we do... it's the "gift" and the belief in our ability. Skepticism, doubts and questioning what we don't fully understand is vital, in order to "get it right". We employ skepticism as a tool in our paranormal dealings... for if we don't know and don't ask, we will never know... thus, no one else will ever know. As we state in our opening remarks on our Homepage, the information provided is to open a avenue for discussion and that is how we all learn together.

thank you for answering my question so quickly! I hadn't actually thought about it until you separated the terms *scholarly* and *scientific* in your explaination -- I had always considered them the same as in a *wizened* sense.
I did some more surfing of your site today and was drawn to so many interesting stories and accounts that I kind of made a *connection* with some of them. I have experienced entities of both human and feline origin. (In fact my mother-in-law was upset with me and my hubby for not telling her our house was haunted before she came out to visit.) I spent a lot of time traveling and moving and almost every time up to a year. Before I moved, I had visited my new home prior to being there (or visited a friend's home) via OBE. I have distinct deja-vu's and vivid pre-memories of being a couple of places in Mississippi, Oklahoma, Okinawa, and here in New Mexico before actually being there. I have very peaceful sensations when I visit Hawaii and lava fields (I was born in Tripler Hosp in Honolulu). I don't really attribute these feelings with any kind of paranormal *gift*, but I'm never calmer than when I'm close to Pele.
Other interests and connections I have are: I began studying dream interpretation when I was 15 and came to learn certain truths about what I saw in my dreams. I knew that when I dreamed of flying I was going somewhere that year, usually a State or two away (I grew up in Illinois); I knew that when I dreamed of tornados there was a draft in my room that needed closing; I came to learn that when I dreamed of losing my teeth someone related to me or one of my close friends was dying. My dreams are so vivid I know more than colors and sounds -- I *feel* textures, temperatures, & breezes; I *feel* the grit of moist or dry earth in my fingers when I tell myself to reach for it, or the smoothness of leaves or fabric. The only black & white dream I can ever remember having I *made* myself dream and I recall thinking *how weird, this is cool, there's no colors here*. I don't do it very often anymore but I know how to *program* and be *lucid* in my dreams. Anymore, I primarily lay back and enjoy the show. I also have investigated some series of events in my head (and heart) that refused to leave me alone for years. These feelings made me feel *unwhole* and that there was more to the stranger I saw in my mirror every day. I have found (verified through regression) that I lived a past life as an aspiring model/actress in WWII and spent time in Hawaii in the later part of 1941 (pre-bombing). I was in California when I received the message that my fiance' had disappeared in his plane in Feb 1942. I have memories of other lives but have not regressed into those yet.
If you like, you are most welcome to verify anything I've said with your *friends*. If they agree -- cool. If not, oh well. It still won't change the fact that I've enjoyed your website and I've enjoyed writing to you again.

It was nice of you to relate things of your past. You have a very subtle way of expressing things and thus makes the readers mind wonder a bit. We will leave majority of the things (your past) as it is... for the memory is sacred. It's bad enough that "tomorrow" is a mystery and so why not leave the past the same way.
We will tell you one thing.....you are reincarnated.
