This may sound strange, but recently I have felt the presence of my departed soul mate. I am not religious or anything but I could swear I hear him talking to me in my ear while I'm driving alone, sitting alone, or sometimes when I wake up from a sound sleep. I don't want to think I have gone off the deep end but I know what I feel. It sounds like he wants me to forgive him. I guess I am still angry about the abusive relationship we had, that's why we broke up. The sad part about his death is he was all alone when he died, and it took several days for the police to find him all alone in his apartment lying on his bed. What am I hearing, could it be him? I am very confused.

The human mind is powerful, especially our conscience level. Usually, events of something on the "not good" side, will occupy our thoughts regularly more so and will tend to linger on until we consciously make an attempt to confront and reconcile what bothers us. Your feelings of your time with this person (good and/or bad), the way you parted, the way he died and was found, and finally... not properly saying goodbye, is still bothering you.
Whether it is him or just you... Forgive him. Wish him well where he is at. He is gone and "YOU" are alive and it is you that counts and you must move on with your life (without these nagging feelings). Hold no ill feelings toward him... for that part of your life is past. Move on.
