Is it at all possible that there is a ghost on the premises who only appears to one person? I have lived in the apartment where my parents lived since their deaths (2/25/97 and 3/22/97 respectively). I have never had any sense that either of my parents was around -- both died in the apartment, my mother very suddenly of a massive heart attack, after my father's unsuccessful bout with cancer.
Anyway, I hired a new babysitter (believe it or not, but my wonderful former babysitter died also of a heart attack one month ago, at age 46). The new one is very good. However, she has told me that she has seen my mother in the apartment, as an appartition, on several occassions. Always, in the bathroom (which is indeed where my mother ran into as she died). The baby (whom my parents hadn't met she's only 9 months old) was crawling over to the bathroom, and Pamela said she saw my mother there, standing silently. In fact, I don't have pictures out, and she asked me to show her a photo of my mother. Then she said, yes, that's her.
Do you think that my mother is angry about something? I wonder if I failed her. I tried to the best of my abilities to be there for her after my father died, but there it is, she still died that way at 10 pm on the eve of what would have been their wedding anniversary. I really haven't had any sense of their presence, not to mention never saw a ghost. No strange goings on. Why would a newcomer to the home see and sense something we don't? Is this possible?

You are thinking of what you can see and feel and hear... the tangible things. The entity/s do have a slight advantage over us, not only that they can manipulate tangible things, but they do at times play with your emotions. That is what we get when we die. There are a lot of similarities between us and them. Like we cannot all be Michael Jordan or Einstein. We, just like them must learn all these things and then they have to find a recipient of these learn things to play with.
Another example is, that no matter how hard you try to recieve a special T.V. channel that you like, it will never happen because you don't have that special box that can make it happen. That will hold true for humans. We are not saying that your babysitter is not telling you the truth but it is not uncommon for others to witness the paranormal and not the family members. Like the T.V., they already posses that special box that you do not have. Maybe that's how your folks want it to be.
Entities may continue to hold grievances even after their physical human bodies have ceased. However, the majority of them do change (something that is still unknown to us). As for your parents, that was not the case, they went straight up when they passed away and are not earthbound. Every now and then, they will show up and see you and the new member of the family are doing. Since you cannot see or feel them... then it will be others that will relate it to you. Your mother is not angry with you... just proud.
