I recently purchased a house where a very depressed man had died of chronic alcoholism a year ago. Several things have happened here, stereo comes on during the night etc. I have taken pictures in the house and an energy seems to be in the picture. I have sought the advice of a psycic. She said that he was very much here and he would be easy to get rid of. I have followed her advice and he still seems to be here only now quieter. What do you suggest or is my mind playing tricks on me?

To be able to experience a part of the paranormal would give you a better understanding and appreciation of the countless encounters that have been going on since the earliest of times. As long as the entity is not abusive, accept its presence. Occassionally talk to the entity when it makes its presence known to you. When the entity does something that you are not comfortable with, let the entity know. In time, you won't even know that he's around.
Entities tend to linger in the area of their death. It is not their time to move on (heaven) because they did not fulfill their intended purpose (while alive). It could also be something in the house they do not approve of. Entities who remain earthbound have a "time stamp"... meaning, they will eventually move on whether they have or have not fulfilled their purpose.
How do they fulfill their purpose? This is not clearly understood yet, but one way is to "pass via thought(s) their wish(es)". Another way, is to leave subtle signs or moving/operating objects.
