I had written to you once before, but I only asked questions that were pertinent to my problem at the time. Now, though, I am asking about something different.
I had grown up in a haunted house, (and I apply the term loosely). There were spirits in the house, and they spoke to me when I was a child, but not when I matured. They also spoke to my son. The only people they showed themselves to (as a shadow moving across the hall, at about 5 am every morning), were my mother and then myself (after I had my son).
I know this is true, not imagined, because my mother never mentioned it to me. One morning, though, I had to take her to work, and we were eating breakfast. I happened to notice the shadow (in a windowless hall) move across from a bedroom to the bathroom. I looked quickly towards where I saw it, but there was nothing there. I then noticed my mother grinning, and I asked her about it. It was at that point that she told me that she had been seeing it for years, but since no one else had seen it, she kept mum on the subject.
I remember voices talking to me, and joking with me as a child... even one event where one told me I was adopted (I'm not), but they always did have a strange sense of humor. Anyway, they stopped appearing about a year or two ago. My family has since sold the house and moved out of state. My question is... Did they move on, or are they still there? How are they dealing with the new owners? I feel a little guilty just leaving them like that, but personal problems unrelated to the spirits made it necesary to leave... (bad memories interfereing with future family happiness). Also, are they spirits tied to the house or family or just wanderers? Thank you for any help or insight you might give me.

Don't feel guilty about things that you have no control over. The entity/s will let themselves be known if they want to. You could check with the new owners (if they are happy with the house). These entities will normally linger close to the area of their death until they move on to the "a higher plane". In some instances, they will be absent for generation(s) and not a whisper will be heard.
