This is the first time I have actually sought more understanding of this strange happening. I fear the consequences of ANY of my actions. It is not easy to advise a person of something if we have no idea where to begin and or ask a general question. Can you be more particular on the subject of your concern and tell us what you're really afraid of. We could have the answer but if we do not know the question then it's hard.

Answer1: The answer is NO. But if you let your mind beleive that it can harm you... then you just opened the door to your own fear.
Answer2: Back to answer number one. It can take control of you because you let them do it, in fact most of the time, there's no real entity but it's your mind at work.
Answer: To go to church with good intention is good for you and it has nothing to do with the entity that you're afraid of. Faith will reinforce your belief and will strengthen your innerself during the time of crisis.
