I don't want to sound silly, but a recent "string" of events occurred which I can only attribute to paranormal events. They were not bad things, just unexplainable. I was wondering if you would be able to investigate.
The one thing to consider is, all events happened within the confines of an apartment I was living in on Miami Beach. This apartment was not only where I spent my teenage years, but it was originally my grandparents apartment. My grandfather passed away while living there, and my grandmother passed away ten years later while living a few blocks away.
Strange thing #1:
I moved back into the apartment in July of '97. Towards the end of the month, my 2 year old daughter was running a fever so I let her sleep in my bed with my wife & I. At about 3:30 in the morning my bedroom door slammed with such a force it literally cracked the doorframe. My wife and I both awoke with a start (obviously) and as we awoke we looked over at our daughter, who was lying on her back, choking in her own vomit. I know it sounds gross, but she was not making a sound as she lay there choking, and had the door not slammed the way it did, she surely would have died.
Strange thing #2:
The next thing which began happening in the apartment started the day after my grandfather passed away. This was about 2 years before I moved into the apartment. My grandmother used to swear she could hear footsteps in the living room. We would normally attribute this to her being grief stricken with the loss of my grandfather, but within a week of the footsteps starting, her neighbors began to complain and ask if she could not walk so loud in the middle of the night as it woke them up.
This apartment was in a creaky old building, with hardwood floors that never fail would creak when I was walking in late for curfew as a teenager. When my mother, brother and I moved into the apartment we also heard the footsteps in the middle of the night, but just accepted that my grandfather came back to the home where he was so happy with my grandmother.
However, one night, again in the middle of the night the floorboards in my bedroom, right in front of my bed, began creaking as though someone was jumping up and down on them with all their body wieght. My wife and I both awoke with a start, and when we looked up we saw our daughter unable to find her way to our room in the middle of the night. Another two steps and she would toppled down a flight of steps.
Strange thing #3:
Another strange incident involved a Ouija board. My mother and I were playing with the board one early evening with a couple of our friends in the house. The piece began to move, and when it did it spelled out the words, "No ir a KR". While at that moment we couldn't figure out what it meant, we thought about it for a moment, and realized my grandmother was going to Costa Rica for vacation. "No ir" is Spanish for "Don't Go". We just chocked up "KR" to the old addage that spirits cannot spell (Costa Rica). To make a very long story short, the day my grandmother was supposed to go to Costa Rica, she didn't go as we convinced her not to, was the day of one of their largest earthquakes in history.
All of these strange occurances stopped as quickly as we moved out of the apartment. I guess what I am wondering is, are my grandparents only in the apartment? Or do they constantly watch? If so is there anything I need to know?
Obviously it would be hard for me to deny there is something living in that apartment, but there have been times that I know I have been watched over by "something or someone" as I was a roudy teenager who put my life in danger many times and have lived to tell about it. I also found out after my grandparents both passed away that I, being the first grandson, was always their favorite (though you would never know they had a favorite from the way they treated us all).
Is it me they are watching? Is it my daughter they are watching? Is there anything they want to tell me? I would love to know if you can tell me anything regarding my questions. By the way, the three things listed above are not the only things which have occured in that apartment, just some of the only things which occured with other people present. Although things had happened to my mother alone, my wife alone, and my daughter used to have conversation with someone when we moved in. I would love your input.

The apartment must be a very sentimental palce for you because you came back and it seemed that those incidents were not isolated in the confines of your family. People just do not discuss this kind of experience. Some entities tend to help the living by just doing what they did to save your daughter. Others will attribute that to their late family members or guardian angels not realizing that the most important thing that just happened (you just got help from the otherplane).
How many of these things happen everyday and people just shrug it off because they weren't aware. There must be millions of scenarios that entities have saved peoples lives everyday and majority of the people won't even give it a thankful thought. The religious ones will turn it over to their belief. Thanks for your story... it's not important if that help came from a family member or not... just be thankful that you got it.
