My wife and I recently had an experience that we can't explain. On Monday morning we awoke to find the bottom drawer pulled out of a dresser in the bedroom. It was about 3 feet away from the dresser and leaning against the bed frame at an unusual angle, as if someone had pulled on it real hard and just let it drop. I did notice it first early in the morning when I went to the bathroom, but at the time thought my wife had done it to retrieve the cat. She recently brought home a new kitten, and I thought maybe the cat had managed to sneak in a drawer and crawl into the dresser.
When she woke up in the morning she said, "What happened to the drawer?", and I said, "I thought you did that." Then it hit me, the house could have been broken into over night. I immediately checked the house and everything was fine. All the doors were locked and everything else was in its place. We also have a dog who sleeps near our bed every night, and surely if anyone tried to break in he would alert us.
The drawer was full of clothes, my wives jeans and some sweaters. There was no way the dog could have pulled it out and dragged it the way it was. Also, my wife lays a comforter down in front of the dresser for the dog to sleep on, And although he wasn't sleeping on it this night, the blanket was not disturbed at all. It would seem almost impossible to pull the drawer out without disturbing the blanket.
There's something else. At the bottom of the drawer was a shotgun that belonged to my wife before we were married. It has remained in there for years unloaded and taken apart. I have since removed it and taken it to my work. We found your web site and thought you could help us. My wife is pretty upset and is just looking for some kind of explanation. She has talked about it with some friends and that has helped, but we are still baffled. Nothing has happened since, but it has only been a few days. We were also baffled by this incident because we know who did it but "why" is the question. A female entity just passing through just pulled it out of your dresser and left. Maybe for the cat or maybe just one of those female things.
