I live in Houston, Texas. I have lived in several homes here throughout my life and have seen a few things. When I lived at my parents home, I would see a figure dressed with a top coat and a hat and could never see a face. I also had an experience once when I was taking a bath and my towel went flying across the room. I had that same experience later in life when I was married and lived in a house in Houston. There at this same house I would be by myself alot because my husband was in school and I could actually see my matress moving like someone was there on the same be with me. I have since moved to another house and my children have told me that they have heard someone laughing with them and have seen someone passing by when no one is there. Can you tell me if someone is there or just passing thru? Can these people follow you from house to house?

The answer to your last two questions is "yes". For those entities that have the ability to follow you and if they really like you then they will follow. Most of the time you won't even know that they exist... they're just there. A lot of them will stay and then just move on. They get tired of the same old stuff and so they venture into another domain. In the meantime, the person involved will be left not knowing if the enity/s left or still hanging around. When you feel they're presence, talk to them nicely and tell them how you feel. They will respect your feelings and probably move on and leave you alone.
