I had a very bad dream today. It got me so scared that I got outside of our house crying. In my dream, my boyfriend and I went to the Ichetukni Springs (we go to college at Gainesville, Florida, there are a lot of springs around here). We found out that the springs are closed so we go on top of a very high hill and there is a very large swimming pool. So we decide to stay for the day. When swimming I see a couple standing by the side of the pool with their baby girl. I swim there and touch the baby. She grabs my fingers with her small hands (like all the babies do) and she holds them really tight. Then I pay a close attention to the baby and realize that she has other arms and she starts grabbing all of my fingers. She holds them really tight. I start screaming and wanting to wake up but I can't.

I feel something heavy laying on top of my body. I am awake at the time. I feel something jumping of my bed to the floor, and walking away (because I can hear the footsteps). Then I can open my eyes. I have never been so scared in my life. Tonight I'll probably not be able to go to sleep. Was it just a dream? Or is there something else?

Dreams are very powerful because it has no boundary and or no sense of reality. Although your experience is similar to the experiences of others, yours could be classified as an "unadulterated nightmare". Emotions going 150 mph and all of your senses tuned to the max. Whatever you thought produced something and then you try forget that you wanted it to happen that way. The results will be so real because it fooled your senses.

Then the bottom line will be the reality mode. It's so overwhelming that you have to let it out (like crying your eyes out). Not to mention how scared you were. These kinds of dreams can be absorbed in your daily routine and stored somewhere in your brain. When enough of these kinds of data, that you accumulated is stored, the right combination of things will produce a nightmare during sleep. The result will be just like the one that scared you.
