My son has experienced terrible dreams since young adulthood. He is now 29 years old and is in the mental health center for evaluation. He is afraid to go to sleep at night, therefore, attempts to stay awake for several nights at a time for fear of the dreams. When discussing the dreams, he cries in agony due to the fear he experiences when just thinking about the dreams. He says that what makes his dreams so frightening is that most of them come true as though he's predicting the future. He has predicted a suicide, several divorces, and has seen my own death in years to come. He associates these dreams with satan or something evil. He says he knows when the world will end. Have you ever heard of such a situation? We would appreciate any help you can offer?

Have we heard of such a situation! We know a lot of similar experiences that by simply not knowing the status of the loved ones, that they depend on the society to mend something that was normal in the first place. Yes, your son is just another gifted person that didn't realize what he had and now being in an institution that doesn't really know how to treat people like your son.

To know and to be aware is the most crucial thing in a gifted person's life and this is not the work of the devil.
