This really isn't a paranormal story or anything but I have been on the Ouija Board a few times and have wondered whether it was real or not. Because I myself am not able to move the pointer, my friend can. She is a witch. I want to know why I cant! I am starting and learning to be a witch (my friend is teaching me), so I thought maybe then I would be able to move it, but then, how come everyone else who plays it that isn't a witch can move it? I am really confused! Please help!

Did you ever wonder why some people are talented or highly skilled in certain areas while others are not? This is not to say that we can't learn to be the same as those... all that is needed is additional knowledge, confidence/seriousness and lots of "practice". You have witnessed for yourself that the Board does work.
You're misunderstanding of the "new purpose" of the Ouija Board, is your main problem. The strange and unusual occurrences that has been going on since time began concerning entities (spirits, ghosts, spirit guides, etc.), or the other paranormal happenings ... is not new. What started out as a "game board" is no longer considered as such by the folks who truly believe in the paranormal. The word "play" is not a word that should be associated with the board in these modern times.
People who have no serious interest "play" with the board, while those who do believe ... don't refer to the board as "play". Remember, the Ouija Board is a device (of many devices) now being used, by paranormal folks, to communicate with the other side. We use a device called L-Rods (mainly used for dowsing/treasure hunting) to communicate with entities.
Even after practicing, you are still not able to use the Ouija Board, "don't despair". As mentioned earlier, not all of can do what we see others do. While others are using the board, you may still participate by providing your questions to the users ... to get the answers that you seek.

But when I do get on it, the spirits always lie! Like when I ask it a question like: "Will Jeff go out with me soon?" It will say yes, but then you ask if it is lying and it says yes. First off, you missing the point. The Ouija Board is not a game... it should be used for serious believers of the paranormal. Asking if Jeff will go out with you soon, has nothing to do with the paranormal. Entities only know of the past, not the future.
The basis for your understanding has nothing to do with the Ouija Board. First, you must understand the realm of the paranormal, mainly focusing you interest in Witches. The board is only an added accessory that is used to hone your talent. Forget about the board for now.
