Since the age of 6, I have been visited by many spirits, spirits who have been mischievous companions in addition to fearless protectors. At 8, I met my first spirit in physical form. That spirit has walked by my side ever since.
When I was 10, I had my first cup of Turkish coffee. After drinking the coffee, I instinctively turned the cup upside down on the saucer, then proceeded to read the grounds, not realizing my own gift. As the years passed, I began to heed my premonitions, and at the age of 19, started to seriously develop my abilities. As I began attending workshops and festivals and reading books, my gift developed in two directions: Turkish cup readings and psychometry. During the summer of 1981, I attended my first spiritual sweat lodge and had my first vision quest. It was then that my spiritual name came to me, and that name is Whitedog.
If a label must be put to my beliefs, it would be Shamanism. I am nomadic in spirit. The earth is my mother. The stars are my spirits. And all in nature are the messengers. I believe we walk on two planes, with one foot in the spiritual plane and the other in the material plane. Our goal is to never let control of one or the other, but to maintain balance. My beliefs do not follow any prescribed sect or culture. My beliefs are my own and only my own, but I am willing to share what I believe with others, for we never stop growing.

Thank you for sharing your brief history with us. We would like hear from you more often and are hoping that you would enjoy being a member of OGS. This is not a cult or anything of the sort, just a place where many of us meet and discuss the events that are happening around us, and help one another to better enable our abilities, in hope of helping others down the road.
