I am writing you to find out if you could contact my favorite singer, Selena(Quintanilla), the tejano star who was shot by her "friend" and fan club president, Yolanda Saldivar in 1995. Selena was such an incredible star, and she touched so many of us with her music, her bubbly personality and great sense of humor. When she was killed, it took many months for me to get over her death.
My questions are the following: Does she know she's dead? If she isn't in heaven, is she releasable? Is she happy where she is? What is she doing now? Does she know that it was Yolanda that killed her? Does she forgive her? According to Yolanda, there are "secrets" about Selena that only she (Yolanda) knows that would change the circumstances surrounding Selena's death, and would prove her innocence. Does she know what Yolanda is talking about, or is this just more lies from an incredibly delusional woman? Does Selena approve of how her family is exploiting her music and image?
If you are able to contact Selena, tell her there are those of us that still love and remember her, and who remember her for the incredible entertainer and human being that she was. I sincerely hope "your friends" can help me come to terms with her death.

Even in the life-after-death, the entity still have emotions and she (Selena) knows the grief, of all the people, that she left behind after her untimely demise. She does approve of the exploitation by her parents because she knows that if it can help them then it will make her happy. However, she doesn't know what Yolanda was talking about and at this point since she's still in limbo. She's still trying to sort things out and she's not happy where she's at. She's not in heaven...she's still earthbound eventho she "is releasable".
The only way to find out why she decided to stay earthbound is to bring her to us and ask her those questions you may have. Then at least with this effort, you will know that you yourself made the difference. By doing this, you can come to terms with your own grief. Take your time in sorting the questions as a fan or as a friend.

Thank you so much for your response--I must apologize for having not written sooner--I have been very busy, and not able to get to the computer as much as I would have liked to. However, do not take this as a disinterest in Selena and her spirit. I am VERY interested in helping her find happiness, and this would definitely help me in dealing with my own grief over her untimely death. I just wished I'd written back to you sooner! Anyway, I don't know if you saw the movie about her life, "Selena", just in case you wanted to see it and give yourself an idea of the great woman you will be contacting. Anyway, I have thought about the questions, and I hope they are sufficient.
I guess my first question is to ask her why she decided to stay earthbound. Is she angry over her untimely death? Is she reluctant to move away from her family? Is she kept here by the love that her fans still demonstrate for her on a daily basis? Does she forgive Yolanda? Does she know why Yolanda Saldivar shot her? Did they argue in the hotel room before Yolanda shot her? Why was she clutching the ring Saldivar gave her in her hand when she died? Why did Yolanda have the gun? Did she threaten Selena before killing her, or did Yolanda originally intend to use the gun on herself and commit suicide? Does she have any information she could give us that would be helpful surrounding her death? Does she have any idea what Yolanda Saldivar is talking about when she talks of a "secret" between her and Selena that would change the way things have been portrayed regarding her life and death? Does she feel she lived a good life? Was it fulfilling? Is there anything she wishes she could have done before she died? Of all her songs, which one was her favorite? Is there anything she would like to share with those of us who still revere her here on earth? Does she still sing and dance?(She loved to do this==can she sing and dance in limbo? Can she do that in heaven?
Maybe if she could, she would be motivated to be released. Tell her that we, her fans, still love her and cherish her memory, and that we want her to be as happy now as she made us feel during her lifetime, so we are hoping that she will decide to cross over be released to heaven. Tell her she doesn't need to stay here on earth, because she will live on in our hearts forever--we miss her music, her songs, her laughter, her sense of humor, her beautiful heart---but we want her to be happy--she deserves it.
PLEASE contact her as soon as possible. I hope this is what you are asking for--if not, let me know. Bless you for doing this--please let me know what happens--and if you contact her, tell her that we her fans still love her, and that we miss her--and if there is any info that comes through that isn't in the questions, please share that as well===Anxiously awaiting your reply.

We brought Selena to us and asked her the questions from your last email, dtd Tue, 13 Oct 1998. She was very uncomfortable being around us but after awhile, she started to relax and we began the questioning. Here are the results:
Q: Why did she decide to stay earthbound?
A: The fans
Q: Is she angry over her untimely death?
A: Yes
Q: Is she reluctant to move away from her family?
A: No
Q: Does she forgive Yolanda?
A: Yes and No. She forgives Yolanda for taking the money but not for killing her.
Q: Does she know why Yolanda shot her?
A: No
Q: Could it have been over jelousy?
A: No
Q: Did they argue in the hotel room before she was shot?
A: No
Q: Why was she clutching the ring Yolanda gave her?
A: She was gonna give the ring back to Yolanda. Was asking Yolanda about rumors...about Yolanda taking the money and Yolanda had to stop.
Q: Why did Yolanda have the gun?
A: Don't know
Q: Did Yolanda intend to use the gun to commit suicide?
A: No
Q: Does she feel she lived a good life?
A: Yes and No. No, she didn't have a chance to start her own family.
Q: Of all of her songs, does she have a favorite?
A: Yes, but would not say which one.
We read the part... "Tell her that we, her fans, still love her and cherish her memory, and that we want her to be as happy now as she made us feel during her lifetime, so we are hoping that she will decide to cross over, be released to heaven. Tell her she doesn't need to stay her on earth, because she will live on in our hearts forever--we miss her music, her songs, her laughter, her sense of humor, her beautiful heart---but we want her to be happy--she deserves it."
She, as well as we, had such an emotional moment together. At that moment, she got up from where she was sitting and walked to the door (looking outside). She asked if she could see the clouds and she said, "Yes". She was then asked if she was now ready to go to heaven and she said, "Yes". With that, we opened the portal, thanked her and bid her farewell, she "passed through" the portal to heaven and the portal was closed behind her. We did also mention your name, a devoted fan, to her during the farewell.
From Otherplane, we thank you for bringing Selena (via your email) to us. The experience that we shared, from Selena, is worth all of the hard work that we are doing. Thank you again.
