Sounds weird...I don't feel comfortable discussing this but last night I became paralyzed while I was trying to fall asleep. I first felt a "presence" near the doorway of my bedroom...didn't think much of it. I soon had a "that uphill-ear-popping/plugging" sensation in my head...soon this "feeling" entered my body and I was paralyzed. I was wide awake!!! I was looking down my hallway and I was trying to call out to my boyfriend... sleeping right next to me...our backs up against each other but could not speak or utter a word. I heard myself calling for him from deep within my stomach...I think my dog heard me or felt something for he started coming down the hall way...stopped...and stood there while I was looking at him... he was still 15 feet down the hallway and would not go any further. I was frozen...lying on my side...facing down the hall way...my back up against my boyfriends...not believing this is happening, and not moving.
Previous that evening...someone...I do not know...e-mailed me a response I had put out on the web and sent me a picture of this image of an "alien" on this wall...and that picture is all that kept flashing to me throughout this experience. Before this happened (around 1:00AM), I had awaken...maybe after an hour of sleeping...no big deal...and realized I was still tired. That's when I laid on my side and this all happened.
I woke up from this "ordeal" or came to, about 2:00AM...now I am not sure if I was in this trance for that long or I was sitting up in bed in shock for that long. I woke up my boyfriend...apprehensive to tell him anything... told him anyway and held on tight to him until the morning.
I woke up at 5:30...wanting to throw up with that watery feeling in my guts. I felt I drank too much fluids and was coughing and gagging. I do not throw up too often...so this is really unusual. I did not get sick however...but I was still clearly unsettled with what had happened emotionally and now physically.
The strangest thing of all (because I can maybe dismiss this of daydreaming real deeply or something) but my sick-feeling was real and my dog...in the morning...was foaming at the mouth...I let him out...and HE threw up water right by my front steps...not even going onto the yard like he usually does.
What happened? I am a bit afraid to fall asleep tonight...or should I say...attempt to...because as far as I am concerned...I did not fall asleep... I saw and felt it all.

At first, it was thought that your experience was caused by an entity and to our suprise it was not. After checking several times the answer was the same. One step further was the possibility that you could have been or were in the process of being abducted by an alien. Again, the answer was NO.
That leaves one thing left and that's a self inducing trance created by that picture that was sent to you. This initial viewing of that picture manifested and triggered something within you that caused all that horrendous experience. Sometimes pets can feel what the owner feels or by not feeling your normal aura and that's the reason why HE didn't approach you that night. He got confused. They can also sense in their master if there's any biological imbalance happening at that moment. That's why HE also did what you did (throw up).
If you have no objections, would you please send a copy of that picture so we can analyze it further. Get that picture out of your mind and you will be fine.
