I live in Illinois with my husband and 2 daughters. For many years strange things have occurred. We have lived in this house for about 15 years. It is a very old house. Recently we gutted the house and remodeled. Since then the strange activity has really picked up. My 4 year old daughter has told me about her imaginary friend ever since she could talk. She sees a black puppy in our house when no one else can. The TV, VCR, and microwave go on and off at all hours. Many of our photos have globules in them, and a film that looks like smoke. There are always things missing and turning up a few days later. We hear footsteps upstairs when no one is up there. I could go on forever. It's just a bunch of little things, like the lights coming on by themselves, and I often feel like someone is touching me and no one is there. Me and my 17 year old daughter feel like we are being watched often. This was all fine until the last couple of weeks.
I was vacuuming and felt like someone was watching me. I turned around and out of the corner of my eye I saw a person in a black robe with a black hood, but no face. Two nights later I was just about to fall asleep and with my eyes still closed, I saw the black hood with no face. It then slowly lifted it's head up and to my surprise it was the face of my Grandmother who just died last year in Sept. of 1997. Why the black robe and what was she trying to tell me? I really don't mind the strange happenings as long as no harm comes to me or my family.
Could you please tell me what is going on? Thanks so much for listening. P.S. Since my 17 year old daughter was young she has been able to people's auras. For many years it stopped. Now all of a sudden she can see them again. Can you explain this? I really enjoy your website.

Yes, we are not alone. It seems that we are by ourselves but other anomalies within our time and space that we are not aware yet. You have one male and 2 female entities that were already there before you moved in and they were pretty settled till you renovated. Some will get annoyed because of the changes but if you explain to them your reasons, more than likely they will understand.
We encounter these poltergiest actions often and it works most of the time but if they persist, then you let us know. If you still have those pictures with them in it, we would like to borrow those pics so we can analyze it and return it back to you.

Correction, there were only two entities (male and female) who were there before you moved in. The other entity was your grandma but she's not there all the time. She visits you often in that black robe. Try to talk to her and assure her that everything is fine. The black robe seems to be a part of most entities, as reflected by several readers. Could be a standard issue when you get to heaven. We really haven't given it a second thought.
Your daughter is gifted (in seeing auras), but knowing what the colors mean is another venture that she can pursue or forget. Let it run its course and let her make up her own mind about this. The poltergiest activities should lessen once the entities recognize that you're aware and respect their presence.
