At one time I was reading a book written by Ed and Lorinna Warren, I don't recall the name of the book, but I do know that I couldn't finish reading it. Some passages in the book dealt with possession and chants or spells that teenagers had unknowingly used to experiment with Satanism. It said in the book that the full spells or chants would not be published in case a reader accidentally provoked a poltergeist, but it did publish bits of these.
The reason that I am writing, and glad I found your site is this, the reason I did not finish the book is because I woke up with this strong feeling of evil and when I looked up, there was a dark figure at the end of my bed that felt like the devil himself. This happened twice, and both times my body could not move and even though I was screaming for my husband to come (when he finally did come and the figure was not there suddenly) no sound was coming from my throat. This was over a year ago, and still I can be doing something and suddenly feel someone watching me, even though at these times the feeling of evil is there it is not as strong as the first two times. I refuse to get up at night if my husband is not awake and do not like to be in my house by myself. I have always believed in spirits and know that these things really exist, but since I am a Christian and know in my heart that with God is were I will spend eternity, I am hesitant to say that it is real and not my imagination. Which is even a scarier thought then the other side.
I must also say that at one time when I was a teenager I did play with a Ouija Board thinking it was just a game, and I have read several books on the same subject as the first one I read that started all of this. If you have any explanations for me I would appreciate it very much. Especially if you know who might have been at the end of my bed, and sometimes it feels like someone is sitting on it, but there is no feeling of evil at these times.

You've had that type of feeling within you since you were a child but never really ventured into it. For one, you get sidetracked easy and growing up normal occupied most of your time. However, later on in life your perceptions of things became stable and so were your interest in the paranormal. The book did not have a valid chant or whatever they want to call it but you as the reader took it the other way. You aroused your own curiosity after reading the book and it caused a part of you to be very sensitive to some of the entities passing by.
Yes...you did have an encounter but they're NOT from any satanic origin. It's your mind creating that. It is just another entity attracted by your emanation. Treat the entity with respect and you will recieve the same. Do not let fear overide your belief that it is you who is in control and not the entity.
