I am a 25 year old woman who has had a very strange, detailed dream. I have always had strange, precognitive dreams. Unfortunatly, I could never decipher them until whatever I was being warned about has already happened. This particular dream is important. I don't know why, or how I know, but I need to figure out what it means. I woke frightened and worried. The dream was too long, too detailed for me to just forget.
It started as I was waiting for my father to come over and visit with me. It was night, and I was looking forward to the visit. As I waited, my father and his girlfriend showed up (but I didn't know this). For some reason, the yard was flooded, and there was a boat drifting towards the road. We live high above sea level and the yard has never flooded, to my knowledge. My father and his girlfriend got out of the car and decided to push the boat back in the yard before someone crashed into it. Unfortunatly, they slipped and the boat floated on top of them. They were trapped and drowned.
Meanwhile, I am in the house, unaware that they were there. I waited and waited, cursing my father because he never showed up. Finally, it was morning and I went outside to get the paper and I notice the boat was drifting towards the street. I went over to push it back into the yard when I noticed 2 bodies lying there. Checking them, I realized who they were. I retraced my steps back to the house, grabbing the paper on the way. Inside, I told my mother and my husband that my father and his girlfriend were dead, in the yard. They called the authorities, and the scene changed.
Suddenly, I was in a house that was a mixture of my old house that my husband and I lived in and the house I grew up in (and currently resided.) Taped to my door was a letter from a woman who claimed that she knew my father, and that she was sorry he had passed on. She asked that I sign online and speak to her. I did, and she asked some questions I do not remember. I excused myself and went into the kitchen for something to eat. Where my refrigerator used to be, there was a cupboard. I opened the cupboard, and I saw his eyes (might have been his face). I slammed the door, hearing him call my name. I went to the door, and the face was there. I ran but could not bring myself to cross the window. I knew he was there. This is the point where I woke.
I didn't bring this up to my mother until the next day. My mother, who is sensitive and precognitive, said that the night in question, she woke up in the middle of the night smelling my father. My son claims to have heard him call him, but I discredit this because he overheard my mother and I talking, and often has to "me too" something. If your friend can shed any light on this situation, I would be extremely grateful.

Dreams can be a window of your subconscious or if it's consistent enough that it reoccur over a long period of time, then it's something else. It can also be precognitive in nature wherein things that you see in your dreams seem to happen later on in time. But what you see later on can be a close caption of what you dreamt and not really the whole picture. Dreams are very elusive to interpret because of the wide area that it can cover. It also signifies that the person can be so sensitive in that area.
Analyzing the dream that you had with your father is really insignificant and that there's no meaning to it. He did not have anything to tell you. Feeling the presence of a love one is normal and yes, he was there at that moment in time.
