I was reading your page today and read some of the readers contributions and would like to contribute my bit to the discussion on Auras.
In the last 10 months, I have been endeavouring to see Auras and have had some success, mainly being able to see a white blur around my head and shoulders and the head and shoulders of other people. I stopped trying for a period of time and recently decided to start practicing again and noticed that the white blur band around my head and shoulders was becoming wider and I had a crown that extended above me vertically the width of my head. On the morning of 12.8.98, I finally saw colour while practicing. The colours I saw were purple/pink and a cloudy green. I have to say that I was very excited and overjoyed at being able to finally see colours. I also found that as soon as I thought of everyday matters of problems, I lost the aura completely and had to concentrate to get it back. Sometimes I wasn't able to see my face at all because it was blotted out by the clouds of color or mist. On that day I was able to view the colours on three occasions, so I know that it wasn't a fluke (I had read that some people see the colours once and then don't see them again for a long time).
I have since kept practicing and have seen my aura each day since. I have also seen glowing orbs of light to either side of me, which I now know are my guides, and as my perception improves, I expect to be able to see them more clearly. I have in the past only been able to see my guides when I invite them into my body and they change my facial features so the that I can view them.
On Saturday 15.8.98, in the morning after meditating in the back yard, I opened my eyes and saw misty clouds all around me. I plan to keep practicing. The experiences are just too exhillerating to give up.

We know that a person will improve their gift to a point that there will be another gift coming out of it, but on yours, it's actually a gift that you have had for a long time and didn't venture into it until now.
You are welcome to be a part of our Otherplane's Gifted Society (OGS). Keep on practicing your gift and in time, your assistance in topics related to auras and it's elusive functions could be helpful. In the meantime, don't let go of it.
