I am sure you are overwhelmed by people like myself, searching for answers and I am sorry for taking up so much of your time, but these things are truly very important to me. I don't know how else to get the answers.
When I was 8 or 9, I wasn't sure if there was a God or not, but a barn cat of ours had just been attacked by four of our dogs. She was vomiting up blood and worms, had most of her belly chewed off, holes chewed through her little legs and her pupils were so dilated that you could barely see the edge of brown from her true eye color. Everyone said she was going to die, except me. I laid her snow and blood matted body, wrapped in a towel, by the timberline to warm up before tucking her in at the foot of my bed. That night I prayed for the first time ever. I felt my body fill up with a light and could feel tingles coursing through my being, as I earnestly prayed. I prayed with all of the honesty of an 8 year old, saying that I did not know if you "God" were real or not. But if you were, please let this cat live because I wasn't asking for anything for myself, nor anything material. I only ask that he allow this cat to live and have her kittens, with extra toes so I know that he truly had a part in her survival. For doing this, I offered my unconditional faith and would never question his existence again. Each night for 3 nights I went through this same routine and by the fourth morning, Spooky was back outside with the other barn cats, catching mice and fending for herself again. Needless to say, 3 months later, she gave birth to 3 kittens and 2 of them had extra toes.
Now I'm not sure if this is the gift of healing, or a miracle that I was blessed with, but either way, the cat lived and my prayers were answered. Yet, I find it very difficult to feel that light when I pray now and wonder if that was the light of the Almighty or something else. If you could find it within yourselves to help me find some of these answers, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

People will say that you had experienced a miracle because of your unselfish faith and prayers. Yes, you were touched by the "Omnipotent," for this one time in your lifetime. You do not have the gift of healing as you thought. All of us, at one time or another, want to be touched by God or have him answer our pleas. Some are fortunate and get to experience that miracle while others (even the faithful of faithful), never get to experience such an event.
