I came from Portugal, and I've always wanted to know or understand why this unexplainable thing happens on August 15 every year. I am not sure if anyone else here in North America knows about it because I once posted a message on a local BBS here in Canada to see if someone could tell me anything about it and no one seemed to know what I was talking about. They just joked about it. I wanted to tell maybe a scientist or someone who does research about unexplainable things. People search for proof of God's existence and I think this could be it.
In Portugal, August 15 is regarded as the Day of Mary. There is something special about this day, it's beyond everyone's comprehension as far as I know. It's like a miracle that happens every year, anywhere in the world. I've personally tested it in Portugal and Canada.
If anyone buys bread that was baked on August 15 and stores it anywhere, it remains intact, it never gains mold, it does not decay, and can be eaten anytime, it's just had like a crispy toast. I don't know who else knows in Portugal but I was told this by my mother. This year I saved different types of bread to make sure it works on other types other than Portugese style bread and it works. People store nuts and canned goods in case of an emergency but they should store bread on that day and save it. It lasts forever, never goes bad. I stored it for 2 years in Portugal and ate it and nothing bad happened to me and the bread didn't have any mold on it. It remained intact. I wonder if someone could analyze this bread and find out why this happens. At first I thought maybe people would put special ingredients when making the bread on this day but if that was the case, how come nobody knows about this. I bought bread from all kinds of stores, from big supermarkets to small bakeries and it works all the same. Thing is no one here in Canada knows, nor anybody that I have asked.
It's a phenomena that should be researched. I've also always wanted to try this in space to see if the effects remain the same, but I do not have the money to pay for a shuttle. If the effects do not remain the same in space, then maybe could there be an invisible force here on earth. I have not tested other types of goods yet, such as fruit. The only way I can explain such a phenomena is that the "old people are right, and it's a spiritual thing involving religion". All I know about it is what my mother told me, "it's Mary's Day, that's why the bread never goes bad". I would appreciate it if you could find out something about this phenomena and email me with the information.

Your email inquiry caught our interest and we scheduled an investigation, and the results of our investigation is what surprised us. We're sure that the readers will have more questions concerning this phenomena or will try this (experiment - keeping bread baked on August 15th) themselves.
With the assistance of "our friend," here's the results of our investigation:
Bread baked on one of the "four dates" will last longer than bread's baked on other days of the year. There are four dates: February 13, May 9, August 15 and November 24.
There are four celestial bodies (of our solar system) that play a role, during these dates. They are: Earth, Moon, Sun and Venus. They also play a critical role, when it comes to "natural disasters," during these dates. Natural disasters are at its highest (in terms of occurrence and or magnitude). The moon's rotation and angle to Earth during these dates are: February 13 - 34 degrees; May 9 - 34 degrees; August 15 - 214 degrees; November 24 - 214 degrees.
We have discussed experimenting with the bread and keeping documentation of the experiment. A critical question is, "how does these four bodies prevent the mold from forming on the bread?" Several types of storage will be used during the experiment.
We have not discussed on how to track and document the occurrence of "natural disasters" around the globe, but will monitor the weather and news channels, during these four dates.
