Ed Foster, who lives in Farmington, New Mexico, invited Sam (Otherplane.com) to visit him. The plan was to do some "long range scanning" for precious metals around the Farmington area. However, the plan changed when Ed decided to take Sam to one of "Billy the Kid's hideout." A half hours drive and they were there on top of and at the end of a canyon below them.

Ed pointed to a small cave and Sam decided to investigate. Walking along a narrow ledge, he soon came to the cave but it was not a cave. This resembled a small indented egg-shaped hole in the side of the cliff. There remnants of petroglyph drawings covered with smoke soot. From here, looking down towards the canyon's entrance, stood large boulders and pine trees. A dried up creek and a fireplace from a cabin could be seen. Ed asked Sam to go down there, but Sam told Ed that he could scan that area from where they were. However, Ed insisted Sam go down there.

After climbing down the cliff to the canyon's floor, Sam headed toward the fireplace he had seen. Ed had stayed on top and watched Sam. About fifty feet from the fireplace, Sam smelled a "strong sweet odor" all around him. He thought he had stepped on wild flowers but when he looked down and around him, there were nothing but sand. It was then that he was overcome by "goosebumps and the feeling of being pressed in from all sides. Sam had an entity encounter that lingered for some time. He ignored the feeling and began scanning the area.

In the middle of the creek bed was a depression that caught Sam's interest and he headed there. Reaching the depression, it looked as though someone had recently dug there, but there were no footprints except for his. There should have been fresh footprints. Puzzled, Sam headed back toward the cliff and Ed. On his way back, he encountered that same "goosebumps and feeling" that he had felt earlier, but it was now stronger than the first.

Sam could feel something or someone behind him, just waiting for him to turn around. Instead, Sam told whatever or whoever was behind him, that he was only passing through and meant no harm or disrespect. With that said, Sam turned around but saw or felt nothing and the "goosebumps" faded. On the way back to the vehicle, Sam asked Ed "what was there?" Ed giggled and said, "did you feel it? That was Billy the Kid's hideout and there are two bodies buried there."

It has been some years since Sam visited there and in 1997, we decided to follow-up on Billy the Kid. We would bring Billy the Kid to us and ask questions. The cabin was one of many hideouts used by Billy the Kid and his gang. The two buried bodies were two of his gang members.

Billy the Kid was not shot from behind, by one of his men, as history has it. Billy the Kid died of "old age" in New Mexico. He did not kill a lot of people, as mentioned.

Check your web page out again. Billy the Kid alias Patrick Henery Mcarty was shot in the back by Pat Garret. He did not die of old age in New Mexico. He only killed four men. The myth was Brush Bill Roberts was Billy the Kid and died of old age, that myth was false. So please change your web page and put the correct information on it.

Thanks for the concern but the person that told me the story is a very good friend of mine who is getting close to his centennial years, and also knew the son of Billy the Kid, not to mention the father.

If our information is incorrect, we apologize but will leave it like it is because we told our friend that it will be there just like he told it. History is often inaccurate anyway... we will admit to our mistakes but will historians?
