I am interested about a myth that originated in India about giant snakes called "Nagin". I hope that your team can help me uncover more information about these beautiful creatures. Please accept my thanks for whatever information you can uncover.

A myth is a very powerful phenomenon because from it comes the folklores and legends. From these comes the beauty of the stories told and retold for thousands of years. The foundation of the myth can be true but how true will it be after countless modifications are made to them. Some of these myths are directly related to the beliefs of a country. Once that happens, it now becomes a "sacred belief" and is not considered a myth anymore. Even if proof is established to refute the myth, nothing will change the belief of the "believers".
Even today, there are still giant snakes in existence in remote areas of the world, having lived unincumbered and exploited by man. Even the locals living in the area rarely encounter these giants and in time, believe that it is a myth.
