Ancient Myths "The Great Serpent Mound"

I am very interested in all things metaphysical and paranormal. I do energy healings, psychic readings (for fun), and dabble in anything else. I read, read, read anything on philosophy, spiritualism, ufo's, abductions, chakras, karma, angels, indian mounds, ancient artifacts, etc. I love to go out into farm fields and look for arrowheads and pottery. I love to see petroglyphs on rocks. As you can see, I love life and afterlife!

I need to know what the image (on your page) shows. It probably is not clear enough for me. I am frustrated on what is there. Please tell me some more. I will read your page often too.

What is it that I see, when I am outside looking up to the sky, without any trees or things blocking my view, and I see specs of small particles floating and circulating in a pattern of some sort? I first thought and passed it off as rain particles or mist in the air. But now, I know that is not it when the day is rain-free and sunny or even cloudy. I even see this without my glasses (for distance). I don't know why I am asking you, but here it is anyways.

Also, have you heard of the Serpent Mound in Peebles, Ohio. This place is about an hour from Huntington, in southern Ohio. There is some special magic about this area. There is a mystery of why the indians built this mound. It is a burial mound, but there is a question of why it can be seen from the air, what the significance is of the snake swallowing the "egg" formation, and why the energy there is so sacred. There are other smaller mounds for burial there in the park. A lot of "seekers" go there, like me, but I am interested in what you think.

Thank you for your web page and enlighting us to all things possible.

You are well versed in a lot of areas in and out of our specialties. We cannot pick up anything regarding the spots that you see connected with any paranormal things. Could be something else.

Regarding the image (picture), are you talking about the picture in our homepage? If that's the one, then it's a defined "face of a man looking sideways". Different people see different things in this picture.

As far as the serpent mound in Ohio, a lot of theories came out of that... from Indian myths to Celtic mounds and this serpent covers a good acreage. We have not ventured in specifics regarding this serpent but as soon (time permitting), you will be the first one to know.

Thank you for your response to my e-mail. My friend, Barbara and I will be going to the Great Serpent Mound again in about two weeks. There is so much on this magnetic and sacred area on the net. I have heard that some businessmen are scheming to develop areas surrounding the park there in Peebles, OH. I hope to be there to protest this.

Also, I am originally from Connecticut. I lived in Andover, CT, at one time, and I vaguely remember the news reporting that a spectacular find in Bolton, along the main "drag" into Andover, was discovered by archaeologists from the University of Connecticut, I believe. There are stones that appear to have been put there from the past by the Celtics, with some petroglyphs on the huge stones too. Contact UCONN for more info. I am sure they could help you if you want to know more.

Also, my brother in Stafford Springs, CT, has a very unusual flint stone, about one foot in length, with raised markings that were obviously put there by some ancient peoples. I now wonder if that is not of Celtic work. It has several crosses and other markings that I forget. He found the stone at a Nascar speedway in Stafford, and apparently it was brought in with the other stones for the acres of parking ground, from Arute Construction in New Britain, CT. This was quarried there somewhere. I could have my brother take a picture of it to send to you to see what you think for your research.

I live in West Virginia, and this area has a lot of petroglyphs that seemed to have been made by the Celts as well as the Indians from long ago. Dr. Murray from Arkansas, a minister who has a Christian television program, is very "up" on the latest petroglyphs in this area, as well as translating the markings from the Celts. He has featured Horse Cave is in Logan, WV, on a Christmas eve program, and you could probably find out more from a book that was written a while back about the caves and rock formations that have writings on them. I can't remember the name of the author, but I will try to find out more too. I have seen a wonderful rock in Salt Rock, WV, with remarkable petro's from the Adena or Hopewell Indians that inhabitated the area long ago. I have also found pottery shards and such, looking for arrowheads in the shallow earth. I am now interested in the Celtic inhabitants and will try to find out where in the Huntington, WV; Ashland, KY; or Ohio areas have findings of writings. Thanks for the good work, and I will keep viewing your web site from time-to-time. Learning never stops.

Found your web site and noticed that people were interested in the Adams County Serpent Mound. This is an accurage map of the effigy over the stars of Draco.
