Ancient Myths - Big Foot/Sasquatch 2002

We have received countless inquiries as to how we are able to provide specific information on Bigfoot... as well as other specifics on various topics throughout the Otherplane website. All that we can say... is that we have the means to acquire these informations and have been utilizing this means for some time. One of these... the ability to locate and track a specific target. In this case... Bigfoot (which we have been monitoring for several years).

Bigfoot seems to exist throughout a wide range of the Northern Americas. Some of what we were interested in were... their habits, their migratory routes, how they mingle with thier own kind and any peculiarities that separate them from other animal/mammal species.

They seem to be social but not truly social... meaning, Because of their size... the male isolates himself from the female and off-spring. Our findings have also noted that the females do not tend to stay together (in a group). When a young one is able to forage for food, they are weaned and then left to fend for themselves. Where Bigfoots were noted, their separation from each other was less than five miles apart.

They are territorial and tend to remain in a particular area for some time. High elevations are not preferred. A medium sized hill/mountain with a mild slope, abundant folage (for concealment), and food source. They are continuously on the move for ten days and then remain in one area (but not longer than a week).

Their sense of smell, as well as, their sense of approaching danger... is their greatest asset. They are able to detect approaching intruders up to 300 yards. This affords them the time they need to either remove themselves from the area or to conceal and observe their intruders.

In July, 2002, Otherplane was invited to an area where two females seemed to frequent. Our hosts were well aware of the presence of Bigfoot near where they lived. In one particular location, near a well-travelled highway, our hosts observed (on several occasions), a human-like creature watching them as they passed by. Stopping to get a good look at the creature... would always prove futile as the creature disappeared each time. Since one of them worked as a tracker, they decided to go look for the creature... that they surmised was a Bigfoot.

They investigated the area where they oberserved the human-like creature but could not find the creature. However, they did find some very large footprints. The footprints looked as though they had been there for some time. It was noted that grass did not grow back in the footprints depression. Our hosts would take us to the same area.
It was decided that we would select one of the Bigfoot females to track. First, we would visit the area of the footprints, take photos and then commence to locate the female. Our intention was to take photos of the female... "Guns were only permitted for protection or scaring off a bear, and not for shooting/killing a Bigfoot."
Arriving at the location, one could clearly see large footprints. Our tracker host said the footprints were not of a bear... because a bear's claws would also be visible. There are no claw marks visible with these footprints. These footprints look like they were made by a human with large feet.
The shoe shown in this footprint is approximately 12 inches in length and about 6 inches wide.
The dowsing device shown here is approximately 18 inches in length.

Suddenly, a piercing whirling-like scream filled the air. Instantly, everyone hunched down and looked at each other. The scream came from a nearby ravine... the chase was ON. We were equipped with handheld radios. Since there were three of us, one would take the right side of the ravine, half-way up and another would take the left side, half-way up. Otherplane would take the bottom center of the ravine and coordinate the pace of travel... based on density of ground cover, shrubs and trees. Visibility would be less than 15 feet at times. Noise would have to be kept at a minimum.

Using the device, the location of the female would be noted and relayed to the others. Move a few feet and scan the area, move a few feet and scan the area... each time relaying the information to the others. After a while, it was noted that when we moved... she moved away and always kept at least a 40 to 70 yard distance from us. It was also noted that she positioned herself down wind of us and kept this up for almost six hours. We never caught even a whiff of her scent/smell, nor did any of us catch a glimpse of her. At one point, we thought that we had her cornered but she somehow managed to get away... the only thing we saw was... birds flying up and away from her location (as if being spooked by something).

After six hours, we called off the chase and regrouped. Retracing our route back to where we first started, we looked around as we moved, and we could not find any footprints. It was noted however, that the ground was densely packed and even we did not leave any footprints.

We had hoped to get photos of her but she would not let us get close. However, all was not lost... we took photos of the footprints, came back with soil samples (of the footprints), and what resembled a "waste by-product".
