Ancient Myths "Ancient Stone Sculptures From Southeast Asia"

I am writing to ask for your insight about a collection of stone sculptures that has come to me. They were found about four decades ago in the SE Asian peninsula, where they were discovered in caves and other remote jungle locations. They are considered to be pre-Buddhist artifacts, about 2000 years old. When I "tune in" to them, I receive impressions of even more ancient times and of a great energy that each one emanates. Their creators truly brought forth a "living presence" from the rock, and I believe they may represent a civilization that has until now been lost to our historical records. I feel that my partner and I are caretakers until the destination of these incredible artifacts is revealed.

The stone sculptures are available for viewing on my website (Annie Taylor). Thank you very much for any information that you and "friends" may provide. I am especially interested in origin of the sculptures and where they are now supposed to go. Thank you and God bless you.

It's unfortunate for them (the ancient people of Southeast Asia) to lose a link that will take them back to their ancient ancestors, but due to the trying times and the upheaval of cultural changes in that part of the world, we can consider that the treasures in your possession will be protected instead of segregating them. Therefore, becoming untraceble and forever lost.

In your collection, there are more than a few that holds a date of 3400 years. They were sculptured from a similar type of rock soft enough to be carved and probably light enough to carry around. It's rock against rocks. No metallurgy involved. The very beginning was a piece of rock that resembled an animal or a man but they could not find another piece. By some sort of ancient curiousity/ingenuity, the rock sculpturing from ancient time was born.

To say that these specific tribes were "nomads" would not be a true statement. What they normally did was move from one temperate location to another when resources depleted. This moving from place to place took time and the interaction with other tribes caused this specialty (rock sculpturing) to spread out. These tribes were known for sculpturing rocks and one of these days the record will speak for itself and the names of those tribes will be identified to those stone sculptures. The sculptures were left in semi protected locations (caves and tunnels) and probably in some burial grounds that are still undiscovered to this day. By the time they started idolizing their own gods the expertise in sculpturing were already widely practiced. The tools were already available, thus creating magnificent works of art.

Who the stone sculptures belongs to is unknown even to us because there were no land bounderies then nor any written materials that can trace them back to their origin. Keep it safe and be happy, for what you have is a piece of time that man forgot. Thanks for letting us peek in time and open a closed book of the ancient world.

Thank you very much for your insights regarding the sculpture collection! I have done lots of inquiry and research into SE Asian sculpture and found (as you mentioned) no written records on the creators of these pieces. What we know is a combination of a few research clues, a story about where they were found and the psychic intuition of my sweetheart and myself (and now "your friends" info!). The pieces were gathered from caves and other remote jungle locations about 40 years ago, then transported to Hawaii where many of them remained in packing crates for the interim. They thus were protected from the bombing devastation that subsequently happened in their homeland. I believe the collection came right into our pathway because it was about to be randomly dispersed by someone who did not understand the age and significance of it all. It has been and continues to be a great adventure! Our theory had come to the conclusion that the creators were likely the original inhabitants of the SE Asian peninsula, ancestors of the remote hill tribes which even today have little contact with the "outside" world, so your info fits in perfectly! Your insight about the stone working methods was most excellent and helpful. We felt that most all the pieces were pre-Buddhist, with many of them ranging into Neolithic times, so I am most pleased with your 3400 figure. I will not ask specific dating for individual pieces, since it is good practice for me to "tune in" and they do sometimes "speak" to us!

It is my vision that the collection will go to a museum or other appropriate place where people can enjoy their unique beauty and the energy that emanates from them; hopefully in some sort of protected sculpture garden, because I can tell that they really love being in a nature setting! Thanks again for sharing your gifts and applause for the work Otherplane does. Best regards and blessings.
