Finding treasure, precious metals or artifacts left behind years, hundreds of years, or thousands of years ago... is the goal that drives all treasure hunters. Seldom are treasures found by exhaustive and time-consuming research... this method requires vast amounts of financial and man-hours. Most treasures are found "by chance" and usually, by someone who is not looking for treasure.

For the devoted treasure hunter, finding a "big-one" is the altimate dream come true. There are tales/stories of "buried treasure" to fill volumes. How many of them have been found (but not reported), and how many of them are still buried? How many of them are in fact... real?
