We were taken to a remote ranch property to locate water. The owner had a well dug but needed confirmation as to the depth from the surface to the water below. Within minutes, we had identified the boundaries (outside edges) of the water table below. There seemed to be a vast amount of water present. We next measured the depth from the surface to the water. The depth was 90 feet. The owner took us to the well site and removed a metal bucket covering the pump... it was exactly 90 feet. That confirmed our measurements as well as theirs.
